A unique fundraising vehicle for your non-profit Organisation
At Donation Home Loans, our mission is to provide regular and enduring financial support to Australia's non-profit sector. In doing so, we also encourage other businesses to engage in similar socially responsible practices.
The foundation of our business is that we donate 20% of the monthly, ongoing commission that we receive from our lending institutions to Australian Charities, Clubs, Schools and Non-Profit Organisations. These Organisations are nominated by our clients, while the donations come from our revenue and cost our clients nothing.
To be specific, for every $100,000 borrowed through us, we donate $4 per month to the charity of our client's choice - for the life of the loan! We are currently donating over $12,000 per month to more than 200 Non-Profit Organisations. A number of our charities are capitalising on this by actively promoting the concept to their staff and supporters, enabling them to secure as much as $1,600 per month!

Why we give away 20% of our ongoing revenue - The Donation Home Loans story
Donation Home Loans was founded and is managed by two men heavily involved in the non-profit sector - Mark O'Donnell (President of the Victorian Animal Aid Trust) and David Philipsen (Volunteer Fire-fighter and Secretary for the South Warrandyte CFA). Mark and Dave are all too familiar with the challenges faced by charities in generating regular and predictable income, and the difficulty of running an Organisation without it.
During a dinner table discussion in 2002, they began brainstorming ways to solve this problem for their respective charities, as well as the thousands of others around the country that find themselves in the same position. Ultimately this discussion lead to the mortgage industry, in which Mark had been involved for over 20 years. They realised that the monthly ongoing commissions that mortgage brokers receive were the perfect way to provide much needed regular income to Australian non-profit Organisations.
And so Donation Home Loans was born.
